A child going in to hospital is frightening at any time even if it just a straightforward operation. There are a huge range of emotions involved and some can be totally irrational – I’m not ashamed to say I’ve had most of them this week.

Getting back to full-time, office based work after any enforced time out can be a blessing (even if it doesn’t look like it at face value) Parents need to be appreciated for their own skills and NOT just because they are GREAT parents!
When it’s not a holiday but an expedition!
Why is the annual family holiday looked upon with either dread or as the purse drain of the entire family? It can be a long list of ‘To do’s’ which mean no one does anything except sigh every time it’s mentioned, or the only thing we all look forward to all year, it just depends on how much like hard work it feels. I’ll share my hints and tips on how to make it a little bit easier on everyone, before & during the break so you can all enjoy this precious family time.
